The English Language
The "i before e except after c" rule was abolished in 2009 as there are so many exceptions to this rule it is easier to learn those that actually follow the rule, if one were to look at the official list of Scrabble words, the rule is 21 times more likely to be wrong than right, no wonder it was finally dropped.

Language
Cymru is the Welsh for Wales, meaning 'land of the comrades' (while 'Wales' is Old English for 'land of the foreigners')
Nothing that great I know but I just read it and found it quite interetsing and having a Welsh background I find it amusing that Apperently im part foreign, it's a strange paradox

That being said here is my first daily interesting fact
Chicken Tika Masala is in fact a Scottish dish, (i believe it to be in Glasgow) a customer ordered a Vindaloo and wanted some gravy, having none the chef improvised, which ultimately gave us the not so hot it will burn your face off curry but yet not the so bland and boring curry, that is chicken tika masala.
